Interlude is all about rhythm, showing the progressive side of Maarten. The package also includes an uplifting trancer, that you've probably already heard during a peak time club mix one night out, somewhere around the globe ;)

Maarten Hercules fortifies his name with a strong progressive trancer on the Ava Blue label. This young and promising talent, who you might know from his 'Body Fusion' or the much supported 'Red Sun Landing', is slowly making name in the scene by spreading his energetic, characteristic sound.
'Shine A Light' spreads a lively feel good glow, as uplifting synths and housy kicks toy around and shape a balanced club cracker. Maarten gives trance a new perspective, working with a mixture of house, progressive and the best trance has to offer. We'll surely be hearing more of this talent in the near future.
Tim Preijers has been blessed with the remix duties on this track and gave 'Shine A Light' an even more progressive feel, distorting the synths and lifting the bass to a higher level.
Armada Music -
Born in 1987, Maarten Hercules grew up listening to a variety of genres across the musical spectrum ranging anywhere from 90s pop music to Jazz. However, he discovered a true passion for trance music and started to produce in 2002 and shortly thereafter acquired a Yamaha Motif synthesizer. Influenced by artists such as Way Out West, Markus Schulz, and Art Of Trance, and by working hard from his studio based in Elst, Holland, Maarten has been receiving DJ support since 2004, and was first signed in late 2005 to Enhanced Progressive at the mere age of 18.
He soon saw tremendous success in early 2007 with the release of 'There's Always Music' (with Joni P.Ljungqvist) on the Signalrunners label Fraction Records receiving support from Judge Jules and being bombarded on the airwaves of BBC's Radio1. Being featured in the playlists of MysteryLand in 2007 can only attest that Maarten can be consistent and maintain his quality of production. His other releases such as Body Fusion (late 2007 on Fraction Records) were also well received by DJ's around the world.
A real amicable down-to-earth character, Maarten shows that he is truly passionate about his music which is clearly exemplified in his productions. He is currently working on a variety of remixes and further singles on Fraction Recordings which are sure to make a dent in the trance community worldwide. Maarten hopes to continue producing well into the future but he realises that this is only the beginning, his start to a journey which has been nothing short of magical over the years.
